Iridium Data

The latest model Iridium satellite phone, the Iridium 9555 is supplied with data software and a USB cable. This allows a data connection from your PC or Laptop to the Iridium Direct Internet service at the satellite gateway with a connection speed of between 10-12Kbs possible. Direct dialed access to your ISP or business network is possible at 2.4Kbs.

TR telecom is also able to provide Short Burst Data services for organisations who wish to send short packets of data from remote locations. Several government authorities utilise this service for monitoring water levels in rivers and dams and also to provide data regarding ocean currents and temperatures.
